I need to talk about the simplicity of love.
We all know too well of the many emotions we humans can make and share. I once wrote a book of poetry where I decided to categorizes the poems into groups of emotions. I discovered I had almost every letter in the alphabet covered so I went out and found the remaining ones. Later when re-editing the work I found it was very difficult to distinguish between an emotion with a feeling. For some such as love it would seem easy in that although the emotion is at times a difficult thing to explain, the feelings it brings forth are many flavored and describable. For other "emotions" such as pain, is it an emotion or a feeling? Where does one draw the line if even one should be drawn? It got me to thinking and reading more.
This is what I have learned: At first I thought there are only two emotions, that of Love and Hate with all the others being a derivative of the two. But what is Hate other than the absence or the opposite of Love. So in reality, there is only ONE true emotion, all the rest are derivatives of the ABSENCE of that love. Or at least the illusion of the absence of the love. And the common denominator is nothing more than fear.
- jealousy - a fear that your love is being taken away by another
- anger - directed at something which gets in the way of love
- pain - an absence of love lost or the fear of the loss
- hate - the government, person or thing which is threatening or has taken away something that you love.
- concern - fear of losing a love
- fear - afraid of not being loved back
- distrust - a fear of unfaithful love
- etcetera
A wish for all - be the Light
Sincerely
