All power comes from God

The following is written by Wayne Dyer

All power comes from God. To walk the path of power is simply to increase our realization of this astounding truth.

But it must become more to us than a mere concept if we wish to draw upon this source. It must be as real and brilliant to us as the sun at noon. As real as the ground we walk on. No book learning will do here. We claim our power with authority. And it must be claimed within. It is the realization of who and what we are that gives us power. This we cannot fake or pretend.

It is possible to draw to ourselves whatever we desire. It is possible to become great in whatever our calling.

I see that the path of power involves becoming less not more. To the degree that there is less “me” and more “it” to the degree that I “the ego”, the human being decreases and the source of all power manifest.

When I quiet my mind and remain in stillness and feel this power. I feel renewed, expanded, empowered. Here is the source of my being. Here is my centre, not only my centre but the centre of all centers.

With in me is the source of all power.
Within me lives the holy presence.
Within me everything.

A change in one’s consciousness is not measured in time, but in awareness. No one can tell how long such a thing will take. As our consciousness expands our whole being changes, and we vibrate at a higher frequency. And within these new frequencies inner truths are perceived and felt deeply where before there seemed to be none. We see with new eyes, and as these new truths enter into our being they bring with them new awareness.

It is through this deepening of our awareness that the gates of power are opened to us. When we learn to draw directly from the great cosmic reservoir, we open ourselves up to the ever-present power within us. The amount of energy we receive is limited solely by our capacity for realization.

This energy is then transmitted within our being into all different forms of activity that go to make up our life.

Every factor in our nature is quickened and intensified. Everything we are will become enhanced and quickened. And all who come in contact with us will feel the effects.

Spiritualism

The following is from an article by Arthur Findly;

Spiritualism: The essential fact that is stressed by all who have had any lengthy experience of spirit life is that we are personally responsible for the life that we live. Forgiveness does not release us from personal responsibility. The mere fact that the one whom we have wronged is willing to overlook our action does not alter the wrong we have done. A true balance can be struck only when we have made retribution. The true Spiritualist is always conscious of an urge from the other side of life which stresses that real religion consists of the way one’s daily life is led. Spiritualism enables you to realize that in all ages, prophets and seers have been inspired by revelations emanating from spirit world. But these revelations were suited to the age in which they came. In every age there are different problems and difficulties to be mastered. It is foolish to argue, that God inspired the children of year one and as nothing to say to His children today. Spiritualism will be the means of unifying opposing religions, proving that none of them is superior to the other, but that each possesses some grain of truth.
Spiritualists recognize that every individual must work out his spiritual salvation and that, in the end, man must stand on his own feet. They know that we cannot transfer the burden of our responsibilities to somebody else’s shoulders. We get out of life what we put into it, no more and no less. We are here to equip ourselves for the next stage of life. Earth is the school of our experience. If we fail to learn our lessons here, we will have to learn them when we pass on. These are natural laws. Man cannot cheat them for they operate unjustifiable. The more good we do, the better persons we are. The more we fail to help others, the worse we are.
This is no new teaching. It has been taught through the ages by seers, prophets, saints and mystics. Spiritualism proves it. The purpose to life is not to enrich us materially at the expense of others. If we do, in reality we are the poorest of all- poor in spirit and character.
Opportunities for service come to each one of us, irrespective of our lot or position in life. We can always do good, if we choose, no matter who or what we are. Spiritualism is the declared enemy of materialism.
(lets say that again) I wonder if it means that I should not get to attached to any material thing, house, car, TV, computer, but more attached to my soul’s journey.
Whether you are orthodox or agnostic, rich or poor, educated or illiterate, you cannot alter the law of cause and effect as it operates in your life. Because you are a spirit you survive death. And because you are a spirit you are alive today. The spirit within you, which causes you to live, is the same spirit that animates every member of every nation, of every race and of every color. Spiritually, the people of the world are one. Spiritually, the people of the world are one. God has made us all members of one vast spiritual family. When that fact is understood and applied in human, national and international life, war will be driven from the face of the earth. Man will have learned not to kill his spiritual brother. When its truths have spread far and wide, and the majority of people accept its teachings and regulate their lives accordingly, a new era will dawn for humanity.
